      Abstract

The present essay aims to analyze if there is a relationship between the arising of the physical education teacher’s social status and the process of regulation of his profession. Besides, this search tries to show which are the causes that lead the physical education community to create and to accept the system CONFEF/CREFs and how this process of professional regulation reaches the collective imaginary. After this analysis one could conclude that this organization arises because of the physical education teacher’s weakness in working with the civilization problems.
