City and leisure: inaqualities in the distribution of the cultural equipments in Rio de Janeiro and a pointer that can guide the actions in public politics

This article has for objective to present a panoram of the cultural equipment distribution in the city of Rio de Janeiro. For such, we use two parameters for: the Absolute Pointer of Development and Cultural Access (IDAC-absoluto) and the Relative Pointer of Development and Cultural Access (IDAC-relativo). We also try to establish between the equipment distribution and the Index of Human Development (IDH), in order to verify the relationship of these two parameters. We believe that the recognition of this municipal panorama can be useful in the elaboration of public politics more effective.Downloads
