Characterized as descriptive/exploratory, through documentary analysis study examined the regulations/guidelines of the Doctorate and Master’s programs in Physical Education, aim of assessing the possible effects of the policy adopted by CAPES on academic requirements to masters/doctors. It was found that in addition to academic credits and preparation of dissertations/theses, most programs also require for titration the submission/publication of papers, especially in Webqualis journals A1-B5 in master’s and doctorate in A1-B1. We conclude that the requirements of CAPES has fallen on the candidates master and doctor, because publishing articles throughout the titration process is required to titrate.
