Characterization of Continuing Education of Physical Education Professionals in the State of São Paulo

This study aimed to identify the characteristics of physical education professionals regarding continuing professional training. The study asked what (content) and how (form) these professionals have undertaken and would like to undertake this training. The method involved 2275 professionals working in the State of São Paulo, who answered a Google Forms questionnaire consisting of questions about training, professional practice, and their expectations regarding continuing education. The data were analyzed using measures of relative frequency of responses for each alternative in each item of the questionnaire. The results showed that: the majority of professionals both a Bachelor’s and Licentiate degree in Physical Education, working in different social segments, in different administrative regions of the State of São Paulo.
