This review discusses Elizara Carolina Marin and João Francisco Magno Ribas’s book Jogo Tradicional e Cultura (Traditional Game and Culture). It presents the relevance of the book’s topic, that is, traditional games found in four social groups in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. The research results systematized in the work indicate the need for more investment in recording those cultural manifestations and their inclusion in school pedagogical projects as content of Physical Education and related fields.
