This article analyzes the financing of rural, water and forest education in the Amazon with the aim of problematizing policy and the criteria for distributing resources from the perspective of territories and their territorialities, which include the material conditions of existence that shape the struggles, identities and cultures of the populations. It is grounded in the understanding that guaranteeing the right to education in rural Amazonian territories includes recognizing and respecting the educational needs demanded by the territorialities of traditional and peasant peoples and communities, and providing adequate funding to meet those needs. The analysis of the pattern and policy of basic education financing, referenced to the concepts of territory and territorialities, denounces the injustices inflicted on the peoples of the Amazon, rooted in the logic of budgetary rationality that runs counter to the right to education and is evidenced by school closures, precarious operating conditions, teacher devaluation, among others.
