The role of the legislature in the discussion of educational funds

The text discusses the roles of the Legislative Branch in relation to the educational funds that have become the main financing mechanism for Brazilian public basic education. It indicates the duties to pass laws, monitor their implementation and impacts and supervise the Executive Branch. It points to the need to reaffirm education as a priority during and after the pandemic due to the new coronavirus and to approve the new permanent Fundeb.
