INCIDENCE OF COOPERATIVE GAMES ON INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS

This study aims to identify the effects of a program unit (UP), based on cooperation motor tasks, dyads (acceptance and rejection) and group properties. An action research methodology was used; participants were 78 students from 7 to 9 years old (M = 8.3, SD = .33), 38 males (48.7 %) an 40 females (51'3 %). At the beginning and at the end of the UP, a sociometric questionnaire was applied to identify real dyads of acceptation and rejection, and group properties (Group Cohesion Index: ICG group and Dissociation Index: IDG). The results showed that cooperative games increased the dyads of acceptance, especially in girls, and the dyads rejection in boys. The ICG and IDG increased and the number of isolated students decreased. This program can be useful to improve the intragroup dynamics and to compact the group.Downloads
