SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION RELATED TO BASKETBALL IN THESES AND BRAZILIAN DISSERTATIONS: BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

This study aimed to analyze the scientific production related to basketball in Brazilian theses and dissertations in the 21st century. The scientific work was tracked in the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, in the Bank of Thesis and Dissertations of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher-Level Personnel and in Academic, through the equation Basketball * OR Basket *, having a temporal scope 2001-2018. The search resulted in 79 papers defended, being 18 theses and 61 dissertations. The State University of Campinas and the South and Southeast regions stood out as the HEI and the regions with the highest number of studies. In addition, it was verified that the aspects related to the physiological and pedagogical axes have been the most studied, just as the key words have been basketball and capacity / ability. The information also showed the incipience of work, on basketball in Brazil, with the support of funding agencies.
