It is understood that the combat sports possess social and cultural importance. Based on this, it was tried to recover and to preserve information concerning to the inclusion and evolution of the combat disciplines of this course, from 1940 to 2004. An evolution was verified in the number of those disciplines, from one in 1941 to nine nowadays. However, there is a tendency to the disappearance of these sports dues to the priorization of the general disciplines.
