FUTEBOL DE VETERANOS: UM ESTUDO ETNOGRÁFICO SOBRE O ESPORTE NO COTIDIANO URBANO

No trabalho, é desenvolvido um estudo etnográfico acerca do esporte no cotidiano urbano, focalizando dois grupos de veteranos de futebol freqüentadores de espaços públicos da cidade de Porto Alegre. Interpretando e analisando comparativamente as suas práticas esportivas, busca-se compreendê-las como elementos constitutivos do modo de vida daqueles homens e, a partir daí, estabelecer um diálogo com discursos correntes na Educação Física Brasileira acerca do esporte. Conclui-se que os discursos correntes — tentativas de caracterização generalizadora — não dão conta das diferentes manifestações do esporte e que os estudos etnográficos podem contribuir para compreender uma variedade de orientações sociais e culturais a ele subjacentes.Downloads
