The theme of this article is the academic
production on gender and physical education in postgraduate
programs of physical education in CAPES
database. The goal is to analyze the arguments
favoring discrimination against girls in class. Five
studies have been collected and analyzed, starting
with the following analytical categories: themes of
research; discrimination in classes of physical
education; sporting and sexism and the concept of
sexism. Analysis shows that school reinforces
sexism, but gender is not the only factor of inclusion
and exclusion.
