Revisión sistemática sobre la participación de atletas transgéneros en deportes de alta calificación

Resumen

Este estudio explora atletas transgénero en deportes de alto rendimiento, haciendo hincapié en las tratativas desarrolladas a partir de la inclusión de este público en el deporte. Utilizando la metodología de revisión sistemática PRISMA en las bases de datos Scopus, PubMed y SPORTDiscus, identificamos 37 artículos publicados a partir del Consenso de Estocolmo de 2003, la primera regulación del COI en relación a personas transgénero en el deporte. Los resultados revelaron un mayor número de artículos en la base de datos Scopus, con temas comunes agrupados en cuatro áreas: 1) Políticas Públicas; 2) El Papel de los Entrenadores; 3) Diferencias Fisiológicas; y 4) Sugerencias para la Inclusión. En conclusión, se destaca la necesidad de un enfoque más amplio que considere los aspectos sociales y humanos junto con los factores fisiológicos. Al abordar estas lagunas, las organizaciones deportivas pueden desarrollar políticas más informadas, inclusivas y receptivas para los atletas transgénero.

Actualmente cursando el doctorado en Educación Física en la UFRJ. Tiene una maestría en Educación Física, con especialización en Entrenamiento Deportivo (UFRJ), y es licenciado y bachiller en Educación Física por el Centro Universitário Augusto Mota (UNISUAM). Tiene licenciatura en Educación Física de la UFRJ (1997), máster en Ciencia de la Motricidad Humana de la UCB-RJ (2002) y doctorado en Ciencias del Ejercicio y Deporte de la UERJ (2015).
