This study presents and analyzes profiles of student athletes from the University of Brasília (UnB) who represented the institution in college competitions in 2017-2018. A structured self-administered questionnaire was used with a sample of 76 students. Exploratory analysis employed descriptive statistics with the SPSS software and textual analysis was conducted with the IRaMuTeQ software. The results showed that UnB’s representation policy was successful and that the student athletes carried out the two tasks with relative success, and most of them achieved national and international results. Further studies on the subject are needed at university-level as well as urgent institutional policies that improve representation and high-performance sports at UnB.
