BODY, TECHNOLOGY AND SPORT: CONSIDERATIONS THE PARATLETA CASE FROM DANIELLE BRADSHAW

With the right leg amputated in 2010, British teenager Danielle Bradshaw begins to do parasport athletics. Due to excessive training, the other leg of the parathlete was overloaded, causing several injuries that decreased her performance. That way, Danielle see in the amputation of her left leg an alternative to make her dream of competing at Paralympics come true. This paper discusses the problem of using technology in sports and the ramifications of it in the ontological and axiological perspectives.
