Abstract

Abstract: Cultural Animation is a pedagogical tool that can be used in different context and social spaces and has a clear purpose of intervention. Establishes itself from the desire to change the reality and the understanding that an intervention within this perspective can be an important tool for this achievement. With the strategy of action based on the idea of mediation, seeks to build a society more just, egalitarian and democratic, with the people learning to respect and mediate their differences, acknowledging and exploring their creative possibilities and placing itself in an active way and critical towards society.

Author Biographies

Leoncio José de Almeida Reis, Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR-Litoral)

Possui Mestrado em Educação Física (UFPR, 2009) e Graduação em Licenciatura em Educação Física (UFPR, 2004). Possui experiência no campo da Educação Física, tendo atuado como professor escolar no ensino fundamental, organizador e monitor de eventos recreativos e professor de escolinha esportiva. Atualmente, é membro do corpo docente da UFPR Litoral, atuando principalmente junto ao curso de Gestão Desportiva e de Lazer. Desenvolve pesquisas no âmbito da História e Sociologia do Esporte e Lazer, com ênfase nos estudos do Lazer e, recentemente, nos jogos eletrônicos.

Doutor em Educação pela Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba. Professor do curso de mestrado e graduação em Educação Física do Departamento de Educação Física da Universidade Federal do Paraná.
