Sport is a socio-cultural phenomenon with different manifestation forms in accordance with meaning and modality of the practical one. The meaning is defined by the objective and significate that the participants give to the activity, differentiating in high performance sport (professional) and activity of leisure (amateur and heterogeneous). The sport modality is characterized by rules and specific forms of competition. Concluding, sport is a heterogeneous phenomenon in constant transformation, transmitting values its manifestation forms, which indicates the necessity of adequacy of its meaning to the social environment where if inserts.Downloads
