This study examined how attitudinal contents are developed in Physical Education (PE) classes at a public school in the city of Vitória, ES, Brazil. It used the case study methodology and employed techniques such as observation and interview. The results point to an attitudinal potential inherent in PE classes with its integration to conceptual and procedural contents, but its application is subject to the exhortative, incidental and intrinsic approaches, thus confirming a limitation already pointed out by part of the Education.
