This article identifies and analyzes the content of rivalry discourses between two MMA fighters – Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg – conveyed on the website of Tatame magazine. Using content analysis proposed by Bardin (2009), 77 recording units and 11 categories were identified. After analysis, we concluded that the dispute that may take place in the ring and the content of speeches that precede it reflect the position of each of the actors in the sports field structure and in the MMA subfield.
