Acess and financing of preschool: a case study in Millburn, New Jersey – United States

This article aims to present the financing and the provision of public preschool in the city of Millburn, New Jersey. A case study was conducted approaching some aspects of the funding model and access to education in the United States, through official data and international literature. It was found that the provision for children ages 3 and 4 years, in the city of Millburn, is through a preschool program, limited to 48 public spaces, not free of cost, and the entire provision for children 0-3 years is exclusively accomplished by private schools.
