This essay aims reflect on the school Physical Education (PE) as a field of knowledge with responsibilities of propose a formation for the "useless time". Throughout the text, we tried to demonstrate that, in times of the crisis, utilitarianisms and immediacies, recognizing the importance of a culture for "useless time" would represent a paradigm change for PE, especially in the school context.
