Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the current state of communitarian soccer (neighborhood amanteur soccer) in Pelotas, Brazil. Through a interpretative ethnography, observations (notes and photos), semi-structured interviews and the analysis of documents, a careful study about the beach and city championships, the two main competitions in the Pelotense amateur soccer league (LPFA), was carried out. It was concluded that in Pelotas, communitarian soccer is far from getting to an end. Reinvented, it continues to be one of the main leisure practices of the city working classes.

Luiz Carlos Rigo, Univerisdade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel)

Possui graduação em Licenciatura Em Educação Física pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (1987), mestrado em Ciência do Movimento Humano pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (1993), doutorado em Educação pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2001) e Pós-doutorado em Educação pela Universidade de Barcelona (2011 -2012). Foi tutor do PET/ESEF no período de 2006 a 2011. Foi Coordenador adjunto do mestrado em Educação Física da ESEF/UFPel no período 2007 - 2009 e 2009 - 2011. Atualmente é professor associado da Universidade Federal de Pelotas. Possui interesse em temas como: Estudos Sociohistórico do Futebol, Sociologia da Saúde, Epistemologia e Memórias das Práticas Corporais.

Luciano Jahnecka, UFSM; UFRGS; FURG

Possui graduação em Educação Física pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (2007). Atualmente é professor de educação física - A2 Atividade Física. Tem experiência na área de Educação Física, com ênfase em Educação Física, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: esporte, futsal, educação física, futebol e memória.
