Stalking:
Criminal Law approach and psychological profiling
Keywords:
Stalking, Persistent Harassment, Criminal Imputation of the Stalking, Stalker Psychological TreatmentAbstract
Stalking is a crime based on a pattern of multiple behaviors of different species that materialize in various acts of the identical nature and that have in common the fact that they correspond to a manifestation of harassment of the victim, adopted in a repeated and persistent manner. Some studies have shown that the application of a penalty may not produce relevant effects on the stalker, who ends up engaging in recidivist behaviour. Thus, the present article aims to carry out a reflexive approach to the possibility of combining psychological treatment the applied punishment.
