This paper has as aim to analyse the meaning of Fire in the cinematographic work. The analysis will be made from the movie Fahrenheit 451, by means of the fireman Montag character, and will be based on Gaston Bachelard's ideas, mainly on the work Psychoanalysis of Fire. Bachelard's thought is characterized by the search of subjectivity in the interpretation of images, linking poetry to science. Thus, it serves as theoretical support for the interpretation of cinematographic communication.Downloads
