Receptores nómadas: confluencias entre recepción televisiva y migración trasnacional

El cambio de residencia del sujeto, ya sea individual o en grupo, es una constante en los movimientos culturales de la sociedad global, esta situación definitivamente impacta en los procesos de recepción cultural de los medios de comunicación, particularmente la televisión. El objetivo de este artículo es compartir ideas relacionadas a los vínculos que pueden establecerse entre las perspectivas de la migración trasnacional y la recepción televisiva. El artículo se divide en dos partes, en una primera recuperamos la propuesta de Appaduari Arjun (1996) sobre esferas públicas en diáspora, como un intento de nombrar los vínculos entre nomadismo y medios de comunicación; en una segunda parte, aludimos a un trabajo de investigación sobre recepción de telenovelas mexicanas realizado con inmigrantes de origen mexicano residentes en Los Angeles, California.
