O Forró eletrônico no nordeste: um estudo de caso

The band Aviões do Forró, from the state of Ceará, is one of the most important bands of the market segment called “eletronic forró”, which takes thousands of people to shows in several cities of Northeast of Brazil. This paper aims to investigate the models of musical circulation apllied by the band and relate these media strategies with the symbolic universes of music. The music here is understood as a communicational phenomen which is linked to social sharing of values, thoughts and world views. This case study intends to colaborate with the researches about the new music market, trying to associate its commercial structure to the construction of cultural identities.Downloads
