In this article, we develop reflection about the case as ambit of inscriptions of the method in empirical research. It argue about value of syllogism like cognitive operation clarifying about relations between case and abduction following a peircean lineage accentuated in Eco and Sebeok (2004). It searches to incorporate, dialectically, the critiques about use of syllogism to think the method (Santaella 2000) and at the same time, it is qualifying it with others contributions (Eco e Bonfantini, 2004). It infers about the possibility that such references are mediations for analysis of researches in progress in the field of communication, specifying clear relations between deduction, induction and abduction.Downloads
