Abstract

The human especies is causing a global change in a period called Anthropocene. The UN has warned Earth changes “unprecedented”. Climate change is emerging as one of the greatest challenges facing mankind. The Paris Summit in December 2015, has been an outstanding event in the international calendar around this challenge. Previously, many voices and leaders have spoken about the seriousness of the challenge. Among the contributions that have had strong media coverage and, predictably, considerable influence, is Laudato Si’ the encyclical of Pope Francisco. To study how it has been treated by print media can give us a sample of the social representation generated on this document. A content analysis will be applied on the information that address the Encyclical in the daily of more distribution in Spanish.
