Eyes of Power on the Curriculum
Keywords:
curriculum, culture, power, identity, school-childhoodAbstract
The ensay analyses the "eyes" on school-children, which produce the school biopolitics of Modernity. The textual operations articulate an archeo-genealogical analysis, in the foucaultian manner, ofthe interdiscoursive set formed by three positivities: pedagogy, clinicai medicine and the criminal/normative jurisprudence; describing some of the isomorphisms which permeate it and produce the evaluational technologies of observation, self-assessment and Descriptive Opinions; establishing correlations and analogies with the institutional field of school; political and cultural practices; and the exercises of power-knowledge and truth for the
curricular practice, the children and their social groups.
