The purpose of this study is to validate a scale for the analysis of the social impact of a sports center. A sample of 406 residents of Moncada (Valencia) was collected with a sample error of ± 4.82, who answered a survey of 31 items that collected possible social impacts derived from the presence of the sports center in the town. The implementation of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis reduced the scale to 28 indicators distributed in seven dimensions of impact: socio-cultural impact, socio-economic impact, impact on image and promotion of the town, impact on urban development and infrastructures, impact on social cohesion, equality and equity, impact on health and impact on habits and levels of physical activity. The results allowed to verify the validity and reliability of the scale proposed for the object of study.Downloads
