The Questionnaire of Identity Body was used with practitioners of hip-hop, classic, jazz, contemporary, dance of hall, axé and dance of the womb. Data show that the males’ participants touch and know more their bodies then women, making them to have a more functional and the women a more aesthetic corporal perception. The men prefer competitive and aggressive activities, while women individual ones. The traditional sexual roles still have impact in the gender identity of dancers.
