Knowledge organization: a conceptual analysis in ENANCIB proceedings
Keywords:
Knowledge Organization. Conceptual Analysis. Terminology.Abstract
Scientific communication is done through conceptual representations of specialized knowledge, which clearly depends on the terminological precision. Thus, the goal of this research is to analyze the use of the term “knowledge organization” (KO), seeking convergence with the concept proposed by Bräscher and Café (2010). The bibliographic survey, with qualitative and quantitative data treatment, included the proceedings of ENANCIB - Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa em Ciência da Informação, Working Group 2: Knowledge Organization and Representation. The research corpus is composed by 51 articles. These articles were analyzed in the light of the two attributes of the guiding concept. Whereas 76% of the documents presented convergence with at least one of the attributes suggested by the guiding concept, it is possible to conclude that there is a movement towards convergence in the area regarding the concept of KO.Downloads
