The study of the network dynamics is concerned to identify what types of events occurred in the connections between nodes that led to the formation of the current structure. Understanding these events is to understand the specific ways and strategies that have resulted in a network. This study aims to analyze these events with specific focus on scientific collaboration networks, considering coauthoring relationships and participation in defenses of theses and dissertations. Analyzing more than 11,000 documents specific to the area of Communication Sciences, we propose two characteristic types of events that aim to explain the formation dynamics of networks in the analysis.Downloads
