Abstract

This interview with Lucrécia D’Alessio Ferrara and Maria Adélia Aparecida de Souza was conducted on the occasion of the International Seminar "Dialogues with Milton Santos ideas - 15 years absence", held at the Instituto de Geociências da UFBA. The discussion covers the geographer Milton Santos’ thought and its relationship with different areas of expertise, as also indicates a series of challenges for the construction of knowledge in contemporary times. Among them, the relationship between disciplinarity and interdisciplinarity, the method and methodology matter, and the difference between index and scientific trace.
