Abstract

This paperaims to analyze the relationship between amateur actors and actresses who worked between the years 1961 and 1990 in the ABC Paulista (respectively the municipalities of Santo Andre, Sao Bernardo do Campo and Sao Caetano do SulSP) with the media mass, in particular television. From their oral narratives of life, the histories evidenced the scarcity of that technology, removing subjects from the suburbs to the raid of that media. At the same time, the cultural industry models that was appropriated and reinterpreted allowed the reposition of the subjects and encouraged the production of their communicative practices, exposing not only a relationship of resistance, but also of cultural appropriation and circulation.

Priscila Ferreira Perazzo, Universidade Municipal de São Caetano do Sul

Doutora em História Social pela Universidade de São Paulo (2002). Docente no Programa de Mestrado em Comunicação e na Graduação em Comunicação Social, na Universidade Municipal de São Caetano do Sul (USCS). Atua nas linhas de pesquisa Transformações comunicacionais e comunidades;História da cultura política. Coordenadora do Laboratório de Hipermidias/ Memórias do ABC (USCS). Trabalha com as temáticas referentes à cultura, comunidades, recepção, memória, história, política.
