This article aims to discuss some questions about the experience of death, as it occurs in Orkut, an online community which became very popular among Brazilian users. What death reveals about the life in cyberspace? How the mourning process is experienced when the users' profiles survive to the death? How the others' deaths can be an occasion to think about the meaning of life?
