Abstract

In this article I analyze how the relationship between genders occur within the fan community as well as researchers of trash cinema. Starting from perspectives presented by paracinema researchers, and also from the observation of a sustained process of sociability that takes place in Orkut social network I investigate how the construction of the cult of masculinity existing in this type of movie is set in place, and also how the association of this type of consumption as a subculture contributes to the perpetuation of different approaches in gender.
