The theory of A. I. Mikhailov about the interdisciplinary nature of Information Science

Study on the definitions and concepts of Inter and Transdisciplinarity conducted by the soviet researcher Alexander Ivanovich Mikhailov (1905-1988) between the 1960s and 1970s. Initially, it will be conducted a study on the origin, classification and interpretation of this phenomenon, which occurred between the mid-nineteenth century and the end of the twentieth century. Later, besides the analysis of the bibliographic production of A. I. Mikhailov (and staff) about the interdisciplinary character of Information Science, it will be held a study on the specification of the relationship between the Information Science and other areas of knowledge, identifying which disciplines have, in the view of author, a practical and theoretical inter-relation with the Information Science.Downloads
