Internationalization of SciELO Science Citation Index collections in the Information and Library Science area

It provides an overview of Information and Library Science periodicals indexed in SciELO Citation Index database. It specifically aimed to evaluate the internationalization of these journals contained in the database, through the publication of language, country editor and country of the author’s affiliation, considering the evolution of the articles. The search was carried out considering the subject category field of Web of Science “Information Science & Library Science,” to identify the items related to these areas; limiting the search to journal articles for the period from 2002 to 2015. The data analyzed indicate low integration among the countries editing journals and the global research community, considering the research parameters.Downloads
