Representing Information Literacy in biblioteconomy
Keywords:
Information literacy, Representation, Information ability, Information technology, LibrarianAbstract
This article explores the representation of ability in information, in this work, also explicated as information literacy in relation to the technological abilities that are internalized and practiced by librarians. The proposal of this work is to be able to represent abilities socially seen by information professionals – “librarians” –, as we are inserted in the current scene of the informational explosion. Having, therefore, conditions to explore and to contextualize the theory to the central object of this, that is to represent information abilities in the use of information technologies to librarians. Thus, we perceive the importance of the use of the new information technologies for the formation of contemporary professional librarians, and still, the need they have of being up to date.
