Abstract

The journal has become the main formal channel for scholarly communication. Analyze the journals of a field of knowledge, means getting a cut of the scientific production in that area, noting the development of themes. In this sense, the journal of Ciência da Informação, edited by IBICT, given its longevity and recognition from peers, is reference in the field of information science in Brazil. Thus, this study sought from the bibliometric study of reference lists of review articles published over the last decade, to characterize the information sources used by researchers in the basement of his articles from 2000 to 2009, with the aim of identifying trends and standards. Variables were analyzed: age of document, language, format and type of documentary references collected.
