I reflect in this essay, from an analytical work with the materials and modes of composition of the documentary O Fim do Sem Fim (Beto Magalhães, Cao Guimarães and Lucas Bambozzi, 2001), the question of the gesture as an element of documentary filmmaking. For this discussion of the effects of real, Jean-Louis Comolli’s expression, the french theoretical and filmmaker, achieved in assembling the film, passing reflections around the body, its everyday life and finally, its form, in what Giorgio Agamben calls for form-life. I point in O Fim do Sem Fim insertion of the everyday body, and its gestures and ways of doing in extinction, in the political sphere, through the writing of the film.Downloads
