A critical reading of the images from Grande Sertão: Veredas (from 1965), with emphasis on the communicational and the uncommunicational aspects. The imaginary of the book oscillate among images of indeterminacy, ambiguity, and a mixture of “innermedium”, i.e., “things-within-things” and “things-in-between-things”. Thus, the paper discusses the aesthetical connection between the reader and the reading of the book. The analysis is based on the book poetic form and gives rise to considerations on imaginary theory and communicational thought.
