Produção da informação nos campos da Ciência da Informação e Comunicação Jornalística: possíveis interfaces

Abstract

This paper identifies, initially, conceptual parameters of information in the Information Science area and how production of information is processed in the CommunicationJournalism area, searching possible similarities and differences, as it is elaborated to do so, a theoretical group of thoughts. It also establishes a genuine dialogue between these areas promoting the elaboration of competent knowledge for wide intervention in all sectors of contemporary society. The core of the discussion is how to work with information as significant structures, as knowledge producer for the society. The production, organization and information stock control, to be used immediately or in the future, are indispensable for the effective transfer of information. We understand that information should be interpreted considering the problems of the actual time, without, of course, ignoring the historical root and the characteristic that makes it original by nature: to be producer of knowledge and intellectual content. It is also true that information is the content of a message and communication is the way this message is transmitted.
