Abstract

The article analysis the journalistic production of ‘Angostura’ event, in the period between March 2008 and August 2009, from the Latin American newspapers O Estado de S. Paulo, El Tiempo and El Comercio. At the discursive level, the study is guided by three approaches between Journalism and conflict: (1) conflicts that Journalism recognizes; (2) conflicts that Journalism causes, and (3) conflicts that involve Journalism. Thus, it is possible to notice the role Journalism plays on the building of the conflict structures and on the circulation of it.
