Modernização e visualidade na novela Dancing Days (1978)

This paper intends to focus on innovative material elements of the Brazilian telenovela Dancing Days (1978) such as props, recording techniques and costumes. We claim that this telenovela set new standards within the context of Brazilian television. The approach we propose here, of a nonhermeneutic study of its materiality, will enable us to see the telenovela as part of a contemporary urban esthetics.Downloads
