Abstract

O trabalho busca apresentar um cruzamento teórico possível e frutífero entre o modelo semiótico triádico elaborado por C.S. Peirce e algumas noções-chave das ciências sociais, conforme expostas por alguns de seus primeiros pensadores (Durkheim, Sorel) e também por seus continuadores modernos (Anderson, Kolakowski). Em torno do conceito de mito, ritual e imaginário, é possível estabelecer um diálogo com os elementos básicos da semiótica peirciana. O propósito que encoraja esta reflexão é mais indicar um caminho futuro do que apresentar uma tese sobre como poderia ser a confluência das ciências sociais e da semiótica de tipo triádico.
