This article discusses how society networking and Web 2.0 are used to support self-organization of new social movements. We focus our discussion on the role of social media in articulating the recent riots in North Africa and the Middle East Countries. We question how the phenomenon of globalization, from the articulation of new media, may be able to establish a new democracy and expand the notion of citizenship.
