Abstract

The purpose of this article is to study the features of remote work of teachers of higher educational institutions in distance learning. For the study, we used the data of a sociological survey of teachers from 5 large universities in Russia. Based on the results of the study, recommendations were developed for improving the activities of a teacher working remotely. The conclusion concerns the limited value of the distance learning format for a university teacher and the expediency of its use as an addition to the traditional form of education. The research results contribute to the development of the theory and practice of distance employment.
