A invisibilidade dos saberes da rua na formação do artista circense no Brasil

Street circus performances represent an effervescent contemporary cultural movement. Many circus schools in Brazil have been receiving students who work or wish to work in this context, demanding a question: are schools contributing in a specific way to the training of these artists? The present study analyzed five circus schools in Brazil, including review of pedagogical projects, semi-structured interviews with teachers and coordinators and questionnaires for graduates. Although there is a high demand in the sector and the recognition of the streets as a relevant scenic space, it was not possible to identify a systematic approach to specific content for street performance.
